Summary of Changes from Previous Version

2/4/20:  Accountable Officer updated to Head of Legal Services (previously Vice-President Planning & Registrar).  Updates to clauses 45, 46 & 48 to reflect updated role of PVC Students as Panel Chair (previously Vice-President, Planning & Registrar). 


10/4/19: Key Changes include:

. Simplification of language.

. Inclusion of the recording, monitoring and report of Student Misconduct Matters to governance committees.

. Increase of Senior Officers' powers to suspend a student from 1 month to 3 months for general misconduct matters.

. Authorised Officers can issue a 'direction of non contact' for a specified period. . Reduction from 10 to 5 University business days' notice to students of the investigation meeting.

This Procedure was approved by Council along with the Student Misconduct Regulations 2019 on 12 March 2019.
